Let, length, width and height of the cold storage are respectively l, w and h.

so, volume = lwh

New length = l + 30/100 l = 1.3 l

New width = w + 50/100 w = 1.5 w

New height = h - 20/100 h = 0.8 h

so, new volume = 1.3 l * 1.5w * 0.8 h = 1.56 lwh

increase in volume = (1.56 - 1)lwh = 0.56 lwh

percentage increase in volume = 0.56 * 100% = 56%.
